What you should be aiming is a blood pressure of below 140/90 mm Hg.

Anything above that is already not good.

You know why a normal blood pressure is essential in keeping your kidneys at the peak of their health?

High blood pressure affects the filtering system of the kidneys.

If your kidneys can’t filter your blood well, it’s going to accumulate toxins and those toxins will circulate all over your body.

Yikes!

 

Keep your kidneys healthy by controlling your blood glucose level.

This may be challenging for those with diabetes but it has to be done.

The normal range for a healthy blood glucose level depends on the time of day or activities you have been doing.

Why is it essential to maintain a normal level of sugar on the blood?

Because when there’s too much sugar on blood, it tends to get thick and sticky.

When blood is too thick, its flow on the arteries and veins will be compromised.

When your circulation is compromised, the filtering system of your kidneys will also be affected.

We don’t want that to happen, do we?

When you have too much bad cholesterol, it tends to block or narrow the passageway of blood.

Some parts of your body will get less blood flow and your heart reacts to this.

How?

Your heart pumps more forcefully than it should be.

Do you have any idea what happens when you eat too much salt?

The sodium in salt makes your body retain water.

When your body has too much water, your kidneys will have difficulty filtering your blood and removing water out of your system.

Too much of anything is never good.

This will increase your blood pressure.

When your obese, chances are, you have high levels of bad cholesterol in your body.

And you already know how bad cholesterol affects your body, right?

 

Keep your kidneys healthy by not smoking or quitting on it as soon as possible.

When you exercise regularly, blood circulation on your body improves.

When blood circulation is great, this means that your kidneys will get enough blood supply.

A diet with lots fresh fruits and vegetables does wonders to our body.
