Veggies and kids are like oil and water.
You sometimes just can’t get kids to like it.
When I was a kid, I was a picky eater.
My mum and aunt told me that I would eat anything unless they would make rice balls, place a small slice of mango or ice on every spoonful of rice that lands on my mouth, and etc.
Let’s fast forward to my teenage years.
I started to become anorexic by skipping snacks then gradually skipping meals.
Let’s fast forward to the time I was 24.
I was still anorexic and it became worse.
I started eating one meal every other day.
Then by 2012, nagsimula ang paniningil!
After all the years of self-imposed famine, my body had enough.
“It’s payback time!”
I slowly gained weight until I became overweight.
When did I start to gain weight?
It’s the year when I started blogging.
After years of blogging, a friend invited me to join Tommy Osmeña and his family for dinner.
That’s how I became acquainted with his version of Cream of Spinach.
How Tommy Osmeña Makes Veggies Taste Good For Kids
When I first had a bite of this creamy dish, I was totally surprised!
How could veggies taste this good?
It’s a matter of combining various ingredients.
So mommies, daddies, and vegetarians out there, prepare these:
- Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup
You’ll be surprised as to how easy it can be prepared, cooked, and served.
My friend, Carlo Andrew Olano of Kalami Cebu will show you the step-by-step process of cooking Tommy Osmeña’s Cream of Spinach.
If you’re going to ask me what I can say about it, I’ll just say it was the most delicious and creamiest vegetable dish I have ever tasted!
I am not even exaggerating.
When I and some blogger friends had dinner in Tommy Osmeña’s house, I almost ate the entire plate of Cream of Spinach by myself (evil laugh).
That’s how good it tasted!
I couldn’t wait to have this dish cooked in kichen!
So if you can’t just make your kids love veggies, try this recipe.
They might hug you tighter after dinner, who knows?
